When I left Oxenford I wasn’t too keen on becoming any of the things that I had been educated for. So, I went to LAMDA. I’d always wanted to be an actor. I played a woman in my first school play. I must have been good because after a performance someone went up to my mum and said, ‘Your daughter has wonderful legs!’ I went on to form my own theatre company with Brian Astbury (who’d founded The Space Theatre in South Africa). We travelled the world and won an Edinburgh Fringe First (and I got to kiss Emma Thompson). After that, I played Jean Valjean in Les Miserables, and the Beast in Beauty and the Beast. The last job I did was playing the lead in ‘Dangerous Obsession’ with Liza Goddard. Best experience? Working with Alec Guinness on ‘A Walk in the Woods’.http://www.lamda.org.uk/http://www.amazon.co.uk/Trusting-the-Actor-ebook/dp/B004Z8S7ZS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1312742393&sr=8-1http://www.indielondon.co.uk/Theatre-Review/dangerous-obsession-richmond-theatre-reviewshapeimage_7_link_0shapeimage_7_link_1shapeimage_7_link_2
